Hope Grows
A garden is a place where the community can learn, grow, and be nourished.
The Eyes of Hope Children’s Garden is located at the Lowell Park Community Garden, and has been developed in partnership with the City of Stoughton Parks and Recreation Department. A perennial garden was planted in the Spring of 2024 and includes a variety of fruits and vegetables that kids love, including fruit trees (Cherry, Peach, Plum, and Pear), raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, currants, gooseberries, honeyberries, grapes, ground cherries, asparagus, peas, garlic, sweet potatoes, winter squash, tomatoes, sweet peppers, and more!
In our first growing season we piloted programming with Imagine Academy and a local homeschooling group. In 2025 we will expand programming to include Stoughton Parks and Rec offerings. Our programming is rooted in the belief that gardening can transform individuals and society for the betterment of all. Gardening teaches kids where their food comes from and promotes healthy eating habits. It gives kids the opportunity to practice responsibility, leadership, and teamwork.
