You Can.mp4Hope Tutors has a simple mission: A FREE tutor for every student who wants one.
Studies show that kids who have access to a tutor or mentor have significantly better social, mental and academic outcomes than kids who do not.
Many families cannot afford a tutor, and cost should not prohibit a kid from having someone to listen to their questions and help them find the answers.
Our belief that every child who wants a tutor should have one, at no cost, has led us to create Hope Tutors where we train interested community members to be powerful mentors who build connection, well-being, and achievement for the students they tutor and mentor - and for themselves.
This program is in partnership with Avant Academic, an organization run by Holly Tellander, MA. Ed. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge about the learning process and a simple vision for empowering anyone - no matter their background, education, or experience - to make an impact in the life of a kid who needs help.
